Tough Competition for the 'Light Up Seacoast' Contest

This Thursday, The Shark will announce the winner of it's Light Up Seacoast promotion where one light display will win $500 cash and a $500 gift certificate! It's all made possible by Spring Village at Dover.

I can tell you, this was a tough choice to make and I'm glad that I didn't have to do it! I did, however, get a chance to peek at some of the pictures that were submitted. Check out these displays! Again, these are just the ones that I picked out. I have no idea if the judges picked these or not. The winner will be announced on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Can you imagine the electricity bill for all these lights! Totally worth it though. Especially if you see the joy on kids faces as they drive by these displays. Heck, even if I drive by these displays, I am thrilled!

I did try to do something similar one year at my house, however, I ran out of gas. Literally, I had no gas in my car to go get more decorations. Those were the days when I had to make due with what I had. I remember going outside and picking the best branches from the ones that had fallen so I could make a beautiful bouquet of Christmas joy for my Christmas table. It was back in the day when I would pop popcorn and string it on the tree. Back when I would cut up strips of paper and chain them together so I could have pretty garland on the tree. I miss those days!
