Gillette Stadium May Host Soccer Games in 2026 World Cup

The announcement has been made that North America has been chosen to host the World Cup Games in 2026.

Soccer has never been a huge sport here in the states, however, it is in every other country that you go to in the world.

Gillette Stadium in Foxboro is on the list of potential host venues along with 23 other venues across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

According to WMUR, a promise of delivering 14 billion dollars in revenue swayed the vote to North America.

If you've never watched soccer, give it a try.  I dare you to not get as excited as any other game.  It's thrilling when they finally score a goal and for me, it's because of the crowd and the announcers.   You can hear it in your head, can't you?  GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLL!  The chants that you hear from the crowd are absolutely electric.

I am hoping that Gillette will be a part of this incredible event and.... truth be told, the day I found out who David Beckham was - was the day that I got in to soccer.  Have you seen him?  Oh boy.....
