Hardware Store in Lee Sells – Chickens?

I'm sad to admit that I wasn't certain if these were chickens.  I certainly didn't ask the people who worked at Aubuchon Hardware in Lee.

There was a bin of white ones, which I thought could have been ducks, then another bin of furry brown ones that I thought may have been baby ducks!  C'mon!  I can't be alone on this one.....

I hate to see the living things that I one day may eat.  Especially since one of them looked at me sweetly, in the eye.  Stop being so cute!!!  And delicious!!
