When this popped up in my Instagram feed, I was so excited.  I love intimate concerts, and most of us do where you truly feel like you're one with the artist or band.  That's exactly what's happening with this award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer who played Janis Joplin in the traveling musical "Room 105."

I'm sure the name Sophie B. Hawkins sounds familiar to you.  She emerged on the scene in the '90s, and is coming to the New Hampshire Seacoast to Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club in Portsmouth on March 24.

Two of her most popular hits, which I've attached at the bottom, are "Damn, I Wish I was Your Lover" and "As I Lay Me Down", which broke records as the longest-running single in Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart history.  It's SUCH a good song, and I love it.

According to Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club, Sophie has worked with some of the most creative jazz musicians of this era, and welcoming her is a dream for sure.

Sophie has even had her music in some of the most popular television shows of our time, including Stranger Things, Euphoria, Ozark, Beverly Hills 90210, and Dawson’s Creek. She was even featured in an incredible Q&A article in Forbes Magazine.

So who's in? Experiencing live music at Jimmy's is experiencing one of your most memorable, favorite nights ever.

Okay, here's those videos I promised you, in case you need a reminder. Click here to find out more about her Portsmouth, New Hampshire, show, and grab those tickets.
