Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty of Murder

(Fall River, Mass.) - The jury in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial has returned a verdict of Guilty of First Degree Murder in the death of Odin Lloyd in 2013.

The verdict was returned just before 10:30 this morning after more than 37 hours of deliberation. Hernandez was also found guilty of a number of other charges related to the death of Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez' girlfriend.

Because Massachusetts has done away with Capital Punishment, the conviction carries a sentence of life without parole.

Hernandez still faces two other murder indictments in connection with the shooting deaths of two men outside a Boston nightclub several years ago.
