Hey New Englanders: Sing These Fun Songs While You’re Washing Your Hands To Avoid Getting Sick
Most experts agree we should all be washing our hands with soap and water more frequently to help avoid getting sick, especially with the Coronavirus on people's minds. And, we're supposed to be lathering and rubbing our hands together for 20 seconds.
When you were young, were you taught by your parents or a teacher to sing "Happy Birthday" two times in a row to make sure you were spending enough time at the sink? Well, we're not kids anymore, and we need some adult songs to sing. A journalist named Jen Monnier posted a list on Twitter of other songs that meet the 20 second requirement.
So, the next time you are in the bathroom, try singing one of these songs:
"Africa" by Toto:
"Raspberry Beret" by Prince:
"Stayin' Alive" by The Bee Gees (also a song you can use for CPR):
"Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac:
"Truth Hurts" by Lizzo:
"What If I Never Get Over You" by Lady Antebellum:
As you can see, there is something for almost every genre of music on this list. So, start singing, and don't forget to wash your hands. Often.
