You might recall a few months ago, we had an article about Laura Lenderman-Garber of Hollis, NH who was on a mission to get holiday cards to our troops.  Laura got some National attention this morning on Live with Kelly and Ryan, according to WMUR.

Laura talked to Kelly & Ryan about her 'Holiday Cards for Our Military' challenge that she's been doing for almost 20 years.  If you recall the article, there were people that asked Laura if she thought the threat of COVID-19 would stop her this year and her response was, "Yeah, NO."  Laura said in a WMUR report that the need for some holiday cheer "is greater than ever before."

She sounds like someone who really understands the importance of being remembered, especially around the holidays.  I have never had the courage that our military have had to defend our Country, but I imagine that if I did, I would crave hearing from someone from back home.  I can't imagine if I didn't have any family and didn't hear from anyone.  How lonely that would feel!

The organization that Laura partners with is militaryholidaycardchallenge.com.  When I investigated further, they instruct you to only sign your first name.  I would want to give my full name, address, etc., but I understand why only the first name.

It's a pretty easy ask.  Just a small gesture to really makes someone's holiday season special!
