They've announced the celebrities who will make up Dave's last guests, and for some reason, I'm not on the list.

The comedian who has been the most influential to me is David Letterman. From the first time I saw him on the 'Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson', his comedy spoke to me unlike any other comic.

I studied TV Guide from then on, making sure I wasn't going to miss Dave on Merv or Mike or even Dinah.

Nobody  in my life has shaped my sense of humor more than David Letterman. I can say I watched every episode of his morning program, every episode of 'Late Night with David Letterman', and most of 'The Late Show' over the past 20+ years.

It's sad to think that we are down to but a few weeks of watching his genius night after night.

The guest list has been released for the last few weeks of shows, and includes the usual suspects including Bill Murray, George Clooney, and Jerry Seinfeld. It's stellar from top to bottom (minus me, perhaps his biggest fan). I'm going to let that slight go, as I'm not a big fan of travel.

Consider this a heads up to the end of an era in some of the best that late night television had to offer, and to a host who always delivered
