The last of the snow fell in the Seacoast leaving behind several inches with higher amounts the further north and away from the immediate coast.

Warmer than expected air moved into the area keeping snow totals down across southern New Hampshire, according to the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine.

The jackpot in terms of snow totals by county on the Seacoast was 6 inches in Acton, Maine in York County, 4 inches in Dover (Strafford County) and 3.8 inches in Kingston (Rockingham County).  An inch was reported in Haverhill (Essex County).

It was a heavy wet snow, according to comments left in the Gray, Maine National Weather Service office Facebook page.

"Not sure about inches in Dover but its thick, wet heavy stuff," Kate OCallaghan wrote.

The wet snow was a problem for the inflatable Frosty the Snowman on Jennifer Dubois' front yard in Nottingham.

"About 3 inches of wet gross white stuff in Nottingham since 12:30 p.m. My 9’ inflatable frosty was the first to go down. Then I was the second when I went out to save him. We’re both a little wet and our prides are bruised but we survived," Dubois wrote.

"About 5 inches of heavy, wet snow so far here in Wells. Still snowing, but light," Shirley Brinkman Kochansky wrote.

"Rain starting to mix in with snow in Berwick, 2 niches on the ground," Bob Hrb Canney wrote.
