Another round of thunderstorms will bring big thunder and drench the Granite State this afternoon.

Mid August always brings a wide range of weather to New Hampshire. For every morning we're ready to throw in the towel on summer, another ridge of high pressure inevitably blasts in and sends us collectively running to our rested air conditioners. The clash of hot and cold will result in thunderstorms erupting across the state this afternoon.

Monday morning, we woke to oppressive humidity, and according to WGME CBS 13, heat index values will be around 95 degrees in southern New Hampshire and southwest Maine. This means with an approaching cold front, storms will touch down throughout the afternoon. Many will include damaging winds, heavy rain and hail.

Tomorrow, it doesn't look like there will be a break, as according to WGME CBS 13, tomorrow will be hot and humid with highs in the mid and upper 80s to near 90 inland and sunny skies.
