Every day that the NFL waits punishing Tom Brady for his "more than probable general knowledge" of football pressure manipulation, the pitchforks and torches get sharper and burn brighter.

If the delay to suspend him goes on much longer, the court of public opinion, that is, the 75% of people who are not Patriot fans, will be asking for prison time(the video above is cued to Jerome Bettis calling them known felons) or that the franchise itself be dissolved.

If I had to guess, I'd say that he will receive an 8 game suspension that will be reduced to 6 games on an appeal. If he was given only 4 games on the day The Wells Report was released, the public would have been just as happy.

Now it'll be a longer suspension and the league offices' popularity will be 'inflated.' And I think that is really what this whole circus has been about since the very beginning.
