Ioka Theater Could Transform into an Eatery
It seems like the Ioka Theater in Exeter has been closed forever, but hopefully that is about to change.

According to an article at seacoastonline.com, there is a local developer who's interested in turning the Exeter landmark into an up-scale eatery while also keeping the ability to show movies for special events.
As the Ioka is quite a focal point in downtown Exeter, it does stick out when it is shuttered, and often leaves some with the impression that nothing is going on downtown, which couldn't be further from the truth.
In this age where everything old is new again, it would be nice to see life back into the building, as it would The Strand in Dover.
