It Could Cost More To Park In Dover

(Dover, NH) - The hourly rate is not going up, but they may charge for an hour longer each weekday.

The City Council is considering a proposal to charge for parking until 8 pm on weekdays. Right now, it is free after 7 pm.

Parking officials estimate that the extra hour fees will bring in about $80-thousand a year.

Weekend and holiday parking would still be free.

The Council will hear public comment on the proposal at their meeting tonight at 7 in City Hall.
