It’s Not a Chimpanzee, it’s a Pileated Woodpecker

For those of you that aren't exactly NH wilderness experts, I can see how the call of the Pileated Woodpecker would be very alarming as it does sound quite a bit like a chimp.

These crow sized birds are very common in NH but sound an awful lot like an enraged primate if you're not used to hearing them. Compare and contrast!
