Who Else Really Misses Bill’s Pizza in Portland’s Old Port in Maine?
You know what's so interesting? I put this exact status up on our Q97.9's Facebook thinking that so many people were going to comment on how much they miss getting a sloppy, late night slice at Bill's Pizza in Portland. I think I was wrong?
Well..kinda wrong. I guess it would be more accurate to say that about half the commentators didn't really mind that Bill's vanished and half said the opposite.
Here's just a few:
Remember being in your early twenties, dressed in your finest low waisted jeans and zebra belts, pre-gaming with Rubinoff and blacking out in the old port? Ahhhh the good old times. Just thinking about that now makes me tired.

Late night pizza Portland, Maine
Bill's was always there for you once you couldn't handle anymore $5.00 mystery shots from Mark's Place anymore. It was the move like clockwork. Go out, black out, then hit Bill's late night for a slice and uber home.
When did Bill's Pizza in Portland, Maine close?
They had a long run dude. 72 years Bill's was up and running with the mission to serve quick Italian food and smiles. February of 2021 they permanently closed their doors and I'll never forget it.
There goes our late night plug and we all had to rely on Dominoes for the time being.
My personal opinion based off of being a former old port bartender is that people absolutely lost it when Bill's shut down for good.
Then the old port took Five Guys away from us as if the universe was trying to tell us to stop drinking and go to the gym. FINE.
