According to The County, Salted Butter Farm is a restaurant that operates out of a 135-year-old Victorian Mansion. If that isn't enough, the exterior is painted purple so you'll never miss it.

Inside the restaurant, the two classically trained chefs that own and operate it have suddenly found their restaurant in high demand. People have been coming from each corner of Maine to experience the uniquely charming restaurant that isn't far from the Mount Katahdin scenic overlook.

Salted Butter Farm Has an Enormous Menu For Just About Everyone

For some restaurants, having a large menu can be a deterrent. For Salted Butter Farm, it's part of the appeal.

Visitors will find some standard restaurant fare on the menu all with a little extra flare from the Salted Butter Farm Kitchen. Every dish is served on a hodgepodge of mismatched dishes passed down from generations or picked up at flea markets.

Salted Butter Farm opened about a year ago and while the restaurant has quickly become a destination, it isn't exclusive to adults.

Salted Butter Farm welcomes the whole family and offers a family dining room equipped with a magical 'Harry Potter'-style closet that allows kids to feel like they're not eating at grandma's house.

Salted Butter Farm has select hours Thursday through Monday each week.
