There's something really special about the motorcycle culture up here in New Hampshire.

It's full of grit and loyalty. And one of the most exciting events of the week is always the annual Gunstock Hill Climb!

This year's event takes place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford.

Watch as amateur riders attempt to conquer the historic 70-meter Torger Tokle Memorial Ski Jump.

The goal sounds simple: make it to the top. The reality? That's a whole different story. Some riders make it, some don't, but it's always entertaining to watch.

And the action isn't limited to the hill itself.

Visitors can also check out a custom bike show presented by Deadbeat Customs, grab food from onsite vendors, and catch three stunt shows from the East Coastin' Crew throughout the day.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with gates opening at 8 a.m. Admission is $30, while children 10 and under get in free.

I've been attending Laconia's Bike Week for the last 10 years, and every year I look forward to the energy, the people, and the traditions that keep bringing people back to the Lakes Region. And not to mention, the roaring sounds of the exhausts.

Laconia Motorcycle Week (a.k.a. "bike week") immediately tells me summer has officially arrived in New Hampshire

Don't let this long blonde hair fool you! Not only did my dad have a V-Rod, but I also know how to ride a dirtbike. So, my love and respect for the motorcycle community runs deep.

Events like this are a big reason people love the Granite State. There's something undeniably New Hampshire about watching riders take on a challenge that looks nearly impossible while thousands of people cheer them on from the sidelines.

If you're looking to experience one of the most memorable traditions of Motorcycle Week, the Gunstock Hill Climb deserves a spot on your calendar.
