What a weird storm this was as far as how much snow each town got.  We have totals for many of the Seacoast of NH towns and some bonus numbers for Massachusetts and Maine.

When this storm came on our radar, we were ready.  Usually depending on which meteorologist you listened to, they can vary quite a bit, but this one all seemed to be saying the same thing.  "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night!"

So, we shopped and bought and bought and shopped.  We planned our crockpot meal and had a contingency plan for when the power went out.  If you made chicken soup or chili, you *could* if you had to, heat up a bowl in your fireplace.  Tough times call for creativity.  That's not exactly the quote, but you know what I mean.

I will say, that I was waiting for the power to go out at any minute, but it never did where I live and that was shocking to me.  Another shocking thing was after it was all said and done, the snow totals in New Hampshire were measly compared to our friends to the South.

These numbers are coming from the official measurements from the National Weather Service.   I have sorted through all these numbers for you.  You're welcome.

The NWS didn't specifically give the numbers for each and every town, but this is what I could find:

  • Durham - 8.8
  • Epping 5
  • Exeter - 6
  • Fremont - 5

Check out the numbers for Kittery and Kittery Point.  Weird how that works.  The numbers closer to the ocean as so much lower.

Maine

  • Berwick 3
  • Kittery - 10.3
  • Kittery Point - 4.7
  • North Berwick 3

Poor Massachusetts got slammed in parts.  Dartmouth got 33 inches of snow!  Here are some significant numbers for a few towns:

Massachusetts

  • Newburyport - 8
  • Ipswich - 14.5
  • Rockport - 11

Providence, Rhode Island got 37 inches of snow.  Wow.  Now THAT's a blizzard.

The wind was definitely a factor with this storm, which could explain the varied snowfall totals.
