A man police believe is responsible for a series of robberies at Seacoast Home Depot stores was taken into custody Friday in Portsmouth.

Employees at the Home Depot store called Portsmouth police after a theft and were able to identify the robber after he drove away.  A Portsmouth Police officer who stopped the vehicle discoverd an active arrest warrant from Sanford Police for the suspect, Scott Lamarco, 35, of Rochester, a passenger in the vehicle.

Lamarco is being held at the Rockingham County Jail as a fugitive from justice, pending arraignment and extradition for these charges.

Police asked any with information about the Home Depot robberies to contact Seacoast Crime Stoppers on their website.
