2020 continues to just kick us in very sensitive areas.

A recall was just announced for Hostess Raspberry Zingers.  According to a report from abc30.com, the Zingers may grow mold before the "best by" date.  This includes both fresh and frozen Zingers.  (there are frozen Zingers???)

Consumers are encouraged not to eat them and return them to the store from whence they came for a full refund.

A list of the bar codes from the recalled products can be found on the FDA.com website.

Also, if you have any questions or concerns, call the FDA at 1-800-483-7523.

I currently don't have a box of Zingers of any flavor in my house, however, if I did, I would probably take the chance and eat them.  After all, if it's just mold they are talking about, isn't that what penicillin is made of?  Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't eat it if it were covered in green stuff, but how bad could it be?  I've eaten all kinds of stuff that go beyond the "expiration date."  Yup, I'm one of those.  I admit that I eat leftovers that have been sitting in the refrigerator for a week or more sometimes depending on what it is.  I think it's because when I was a kid, my Mom worked a lot and I had to fend for myself many times for dinner if she was working.  I'd find something in the fridge that I later found out had been there for a week, but it sure did taste good to me!
