What Makes This New Hampshire Breakfast Sandwich Irresistible?
If you are a fan of road trips like I am and you find yourself in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire, you must make a stop at this Jaffrey restaurant with stunning views and a delicious breakfast sandwich with an ingredient that makes it unforgettable.
Recently, I was in Jaffrey, NH with family and we stopped at the place once known as Coll's Farm Stand. In it's place is the Optimist Cafe and a smaller marketplace that sells things like crochet throws.
The menu at the Optimist Cafe has a list of really yummy things like the Optimist breakfast bowl, gluten free pancakes and bagels with cream cheese.

What's the Best Thing on the Menu at the Optimist Cafe?
If you ask one of the servers at the Optimist what the best thing on the menu is, she'll tell you the "House Special" breakfast sandwich, although you could have this for lunch too.
The woman behind the counter recommended that we get the sandwich on an Asiago Jalapeño, which we did. It includes egg, cheddar cheese, your choice of bacon or sausage, tomato, avocado, cream cheese and.... get ready... house mustard.
The mustard is what makes this bagel sandwich so special. I have never thought of putting mustard on a breakfast sandwich, but why not? It's really delicious.
If you make the trip, you should also get one of their pastries that they have in the cabinet. The almond croissant is a little slice of heaven.
