You don't hear about this everyday.

There was a fight, allegedly, at the Market Basket on Route 1 in Portsmouth last week that led to one man's head bleeding, according to Newsbreak, supposedly over a grocery carriage.

Portsmouth Police and Fire responded to the grocery store last Thursday morning, February 27, to find an older man bleeding from his head.  They believed it was because of an alleged assault by another man.

The man was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for the head injury and a swollen eye.

Police Are Asking for Your Help

Portsmouth Police are asking for the public's help for any other information regarding the incident. If you know anything, call Zachary Brandt at 603-610-7465.

I wonder what happened?  Why did the two men allegedly get so angry?

  • Was it because one didn't put his carriage back in the proper place in the parking lot?
  • Or maybe the carriage used by one of the men smashed into the other one's car?
  • Or could it be that the price of eggs was just so high that they were angry to begin with?

I don't know what the situation was, I'm just guessing.

One woman got so mad at me one time when I was shopping at Hannaford in Raymond, New Hampshire.  My carriage got away from me on a windy day and smashed into her car.  I thought she was going to deck me.

Lucky for me, her husband pulled her back and said,

C'mon, Charlene, the car is fine, get in here, for Christ's sake!

Thanks, Buddy.

I'll update this story if I find out what happened.
