NH Drought Monitor Has Turned Us Into a Desert Planet
How's that for a tabloid headline? The promises of heavy rains from a tropical storm went bust and NH turned to dust. Allow me to give you a tour of your new planet.
As a child of the 70's and 80's, I was obsessed with The Star Wars trilogy and therefore I have modeled our new arid world after Luke Skywalker's home planet, Tattooine.
If you're familiar at all with that galaxy located far, far away, you'll know that my illustration of two suns is not an accident. Sunrise after sunset with extra sun in the middle, THAT is Tatooine and THAT is also what summer has been in The Granite State this year.

Normally, these proud scavengers and traders are used to stifling heat, but even they have had enough of NH's never ending cycle of 90 plus degree weather that has baked our collective biscuits since late May.
