As a child of the 70's and 80's, I was obsessed with The Star Wars trilogy and therefore I have modeled our new arid world after Luke Skywalker's home planet, Tattooine.

If you're familiar at all with that galaxy located far, far away, you'll know that my illustration of two suns is not an accident. Sunrise after sunset with extra sun in the middle, THAT is Tatooine and THAT is also what summer has been in The Granite State this year.

See the mighty Bantha as he strolls the Moderate Drought of Merrimac and Hillsborough counties? His great tail would stretch over the Connecticut River and into Vermont, but, I wanted to keep the border well defined.

The Eopie appears to be waiting patiently in the Abnormal Dryness of Grafton County, thankful that his rider has given him a moment's rest in this hot and hostile environment.

I have to say that I'm quite proud of my depiction of the Jawa located in Coos County.

Normally, these proud scavengers and traders are used to stifling heat, but even they have had enough of NH's never ending cycle of 90 plus degree weather that has baked our collective biscuits since late May.

For those of you that would like ACTUAL information regarding NH's Drought?
