A move to protest the Russian invasion of Ukraine will hit the country in the glass.

On Saturday, Gov. Chris Sununu said that he signed an executive order for the state's 79 liquor and wine outlets to remove Russian-made and Russian-branded spirits until further notice.

"New Hampshire stands with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom," Sununu said in a tweet announcing the move.

Comments about the order pointed out that while the existing stock is already paid for, it can't be sold, meaning there will be no re-ordering.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation and other liquor jurisdictions in Canada made a similar decision. The state of Ohio is also blocking sales of similar product.
