NH/Maine Motorist Alert: The Sarah Mildred Long Bridge Will Be Closed Next Week
(Portsmouth, NH/Kittery, Me) - The recently-completed bridge carrying the Route 1-Bypass over the Piscataqua River will be closed Monday through next Sunday.

The Maine Department of Transportation says the closure is to allow for completion of work that was deferred due to the weather earlier this spring.
Officials say the bridge will be closed starting Monday morning, and they hope to reopen it to traffic after sunset on Sunday, May 6th.
After that, there are no future plans for full daytime closures.
