The New Sarah Mildred Long Bridge Will Open Friday
(Portsmouth, NH) - The new bridge was originally slated to open last fall.
Construction of the new bridge, crossing the Piscataqua River between Portsmouth and Kittery, began in January of 2015.
It is a joint effort by Maine and NH, with the Maine D.O.T. leading the project.
The new bridge replaces the structure that had been deemed unsafe and dismantled.
