NHRA Funny Car Explosion At NE Dragway [Watch]

Hard to believe the driver walked away from this one.

Jack Beckman thankfully walked away after his Infinite Hero Dodge Charger Funny Car exploded at New England Dragway over the weekend.

It occurred during the third qualifying session at the NHRA New England Nationals. As you'll see, only the nose of the body remained attached to the car.

It is a testament to the safety precautions that go into these vehicles.

In the meantime, yesterday's rain showers forced NHRA officials to postpone final eliminations at the NHRA New England Nationals. Racing will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, and Antron Brown, Ron Capps, and Jason Line lead the fields into eliminations after qualifying No. 1
