Owning a home that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places would definitely stand out as one of the most unique talking points at a party.

On sale now for just over $1,000,000 in the western Boston, Massachusetts, suburb of Natick sits this nearly 300-year-old home which predates the American Revolution.

1 Frost Street, listed by Melissa Sullivan with William Raveis Real Estate and Home Services, is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home just over 3250 square feet.

According to WCVB-Boston, the house was built in 1738 and sits on over an acre-and-a-half of property.  Of course, back when it was first built, this historic home sat on 200 acres purchased from the Natick Indians.  There's even an historic marker, which is in the gallery of photos below.  There's also a sign marking it as the place where Vice President Henry Wilson learned how to make shoes.

WCVB-Boston says the home was built by Robert Jenison, a former Natick town selectman.  Robert's granddaughter, Sybilla, married Issac Fiske, who became a prominent Methodist minister and namesake of a church still stands today: the Fiske Church in Natick. Their son Issac became one of the founders of the Methodist Church in America.

According to the listing, there are plenty of period details including the original pine floors (which have been restored), as well as exposed beams and hand-carved paneling. There are plenty of updates as well, including the kitchen.

With the Boston area's historically influential roots from the Boston Tea Party to Paul Revere, America wouldn’t be the same without the Bay State. So, let's take a tour of home that's part of history.
