One Market Basket in Essex County removed their one way aisle arrows last week. Could other stores be abandoning them soon as well?

I thought for a second that this was photoshopped because you can still see the ghost of the arrow that once was, but is no more.

Alas, it is the real deal as the Storey Avenue MB apparently no longer adheres to the one way aisle policy that came about last year in an effort to promote social distancing.

Interestingly enough, the current 'Message From Market Basket' still has the one way aisle policy on their official list of social distancing protocols.

All locations have implemented one-way aisles to enhance and enforce social distancing in our stores

I didn't hear about this reversal in Newburyport until late Saturday, so the next morning, I made a bee line to my Sunday grocery shopping go to, the Lee NH location.

The arrows were still there, just like they were in Somersworth on High Street last Monday.

With NH's active cases of COVID-19 plummeting to 513 yesterday and the fact that New England is THE highest vaccinated region in the entire country, I think it will be sooner than later that all these arrows will be disappearing.

I realize it's a small inconvenience and I'm almost ashamed to admit it at this point, but I just can't get the hang of following the arrows!

I don't break the rules, mind you. But I do seem to always find myself looping around twice to get back to the thing I missed.

I won't miss those arrows by any means!
