The New England Patriots would take him back immediately, but that's not going to happen. Not this year anyway.

The clock is ticking on Mr. Gronkowski to make his oft-rumored return to The Pats for the 2019 NFL Season. As of this moment, he has two weeks and five days until his eligibility runs out on November 30th.

I, for one, will be thankful when that time passes and the speculation will quiet down for at least six months.

And I'm thankful that he will not return because I'm a huge fan of his. I honestly think that his career had an ending that was just as perfect as anybody could hope for.

At least once a week, you STILL see his glorious diving catch at the goal line of last year's Super Bowl, the final catch of his illustrious nine year career.

Why come back now? To block and chip on the Offensive Line? He is arguably the best at his position that anyone has ever seen. He has proven all he needs to prove.

I'm perfectly happy seeing him broadcast on Fox Sports and endorse CBD products, and I hope he remains off the field, happily perfect.
