In 2025, he wrote a memoir.  Now, Peter Wolf is going on a tour at area venues in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

We all know and love Peter Wolf not only because he was the singer for the J. Geils Band, but also because he was a D.J. on one of our favorite radio stations.

We all have our favorite J. Geils Band song, but this one was the Band's biggest hit:

Then, there's this classic with the completely ad-libbed intro by Peter Wolf:

Peter Wolf's name is synonymous with Boston. He is part of the historical fabric of the music scene in Bean Town.  He has been living it since the '70's.

At 79 years old, Peter has a new album, "Midnight Souvenirs," which sounds amazing. It's like he didn't miss a beat.  The album was recorded in a studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Here's a preview:

Merle Haggard Sings on Peter Wolf's New Album

Peter shows a very thoughtful side on many of these songs, but none so much as the track that is sung by Merle Haggard.  You can't help but sink into the emotion of the song, it's just stinking beautiful.

Peter Wolf Was Once a Disc Jockey in Boston

We particularly love Peter Wolf because he lives here.  He's one of us.  Remember when he was on the air at 104.1, WBCN in Boston?  It was right at the beginning of the powerhouse we all listened to in High School that turned into the Rock of Boston.  May the station Rest in Peace.

Here are a few of the dates/venues you can see Peter live:

  • The Music Hall, Portsmouth, NH:  February 19, 2026
  • Groton Hill Music Center, Groton, Mass, February 20, 2026
