Are These New Hampshire Pizza Hut Locations Going to Close?

Pizza Hut is one of those chains that know how to make a reeeeally good pie.  Besides the veggie pizza at Roger's Pizza in Dover, Pizza Hut has the other pizza pie that I crave; the Meat Lover's Pizza with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, bacon, seasoned pork and beef.  The buttery thick crust is out of this world.

Pizza Hut is Closing 250 of its Restaurants in 2026

It comes as bad news to hear that Pizza Hut announced it is closing 250 of its underperforming restaurants in the first half of 2026.  The parent company, Yum Brands is considering a sale of the entire chain, according to abcnews.go.com.

Nationwide, the company has more than 6,000 locations in the U.S.  Here in New Hampshire there are 13 locations, according to a Google search:

• Manchester
• Dover
• Concord
• Nashua
• Rochester
• Merrimack
• Salem
• Greenland
• Tilton
• Bedford
• Claremont
• Somersworth
• Keene

That is a lot of employees potentially losing their job.

Remember when Starbucks closed in downtown Portsmouth?  You know things are bad when a juggernaut like Starbucks closes.  Apparently, that location won't be the last either.

Pizza Hut isn't the only chain that plans on closing several locations in 2026.  The fast food chain with the best french fries, in my opinion, Wendy's, said that it will also close restaurants this year, according to thestreet.com.

It isn't only restaurants that are shutting their doors.  There is a whole list of many chains that are calling it quits for their brick and mortar locations.
