In just one weeks time, Fred Chase is back on the job as a traffic flagger currently working on Islington Street in Portsmouth. He was struck by a car last week in what appears to be a very troubling incident of road rage.

According to this WMUR report by Jennifer Crompton, the accused assailant is in custody and awaiting a court date next week.

This incident happened just last Tuesday.

Chase, a 64 year old Grandfather from Manchester, sustained injuries to both his knee and back and considers himself 'Just lucky' in being able to return to the job site so quickly.

We here at The Shark currently lack a 'Tough As Nails' type award for local folks that overcome remarkable trauma such as this, but we should.

And I think Fred Chase should definitely win the first one!
