Portsmouth Jazz & Blues Festival Set For Sunday

From laid back to lively, get ready for free live music all Sunday afternoon.

We may or may not see snow this week, and the holidays are just a few weeks away. Snow or not, downtown Portsmouth looks beautiful this time of year, as decorations are beginning to adorn streets and shops. Live music fans can get in the spirit on the cheap this Sunday as the 3rd annual Portsmouth Jazz & Blues Festival hits various stages downtown. It's all free!

According to their Facebook page, Portwalk Place will again be the home of the Festival Over the course of the afternoon, more than a half dozen blues and jazz acts will perform on many stages inside Portwalk’s hotels and restaurants from noon to 6 pm. Parking available at Portwalk Garage, with an entrance on Hanover Street.

The "3rd annual" is actually a reboot. According to Seacoast Online, the latest version pays tribute to the heralded Jazz and Blues festivals in Portsmouth years ago, which ran from 1982- 1992.
