PSNH Changing Its Name To….
New Hampshire's largest electric utility is operating under a new name after 89 years.

Public Service of New Hampshire will be taking on a new name next month to reflect a merger with a Massachusetts utility company.
Northeast Utilities will change the PSNH brand to Eversource Energy on Feb. 2, according to The Nashua Telegraph. This rebranding comes after the merger of Northeast Utilities and Massachusetts-bases utility NStar in 2012.
Customers will get more information on the change after the Feb. 2 transition.
The name Public Service Co. of New Hampshire has been in place since it was adopted Aug. 19, 1926. It has been a major part of the state's history ever since.
