Remember Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom From the 70’s?

Just outside of the building here in Dover, we have had a robin's nest that is easily visible to all who work here.  We all watched the Mama bird sit on her eggs, even when we got close to her nest, she would be close by, watching our every move.

I just looked out this morning and saw that there were several smaller birds flying in and out of the nest!  Her babies have gone from egg to flying right before our eyes!  Magical.

It made me think of one of my favorite shows on TV in the 70's.  Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom!  My family never missed it.  All the creatures of the world big and small were highlighted and I was riveted!  Looking back, I'm sure my Mother and Father were quite happy that I stayed put in front of the TV for at least a little while as I watched Marlin Perkins and his assistant, Jim Fowler, RIP.
