Ripped Off! Lousy Thief Steals Entire Cashbox from My Folks’ Veggie Cart

I read 'Stupid News' stories like this all the time but usually they end with the crook being apprehended. As of right now, he or she is still at large and probably 8 dollars richer.

Only 6 or 7 screw nail holes are all that remain from my parents steel 'strongbox' that was fastened to the side of their Gonic vegetable cart for the past ten years.

Since the perpetrator managed to literally rip this box off the side of the cart at around 1pm, we can approximate that he or she netted about $10 in small bills from this endeavor. Not to mention the mangled toolbox AND a pretty nice vintage padlock.

If anyone witnessed this crime, I'd be very interested to hear some details if for nothing else than to have a few laughs. I feel that it's the best way to deal with things when something this sad and pathetic happens.
