Robert Plant Coming to Boston, Massachusetts With a Band That ‘Saved His Sanity’
Robert Plant is a rock icon. His career started very early in life, landing in one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Led Zeppelin. Now he's coming to Boston with a band that he says 'saved his sanity.'
On November 6, he's going to be at the Shubert Theater in Boston with his band, Saving Grace.
You'll recognize this incredible version of "Ramble On," by the Mighty Led Zeppelin
Robert gave an interview to Rolling Stone and he had this to say about Saving Grace:
It’s just a very charming and quite exciting combination of personality and musicianship. It’s lovely. I do view this band as my saving grace. They saved my sanity, really.
There you have it. This band saved Robert Plant's sanity.
In that same interview, Robert said that the musicians in the band came to performing and playing music from a completely different and contemporary way. He had to make adjustments, but it felt so comfortable.
Robert Plant Has Collaborated with Alison Krauss Since 2007
For years, Robert Plant has collaborated with Alison Krauss. I remember their first album together called, "Raise the Roof." At the time it was a very big deal. They were both established musicians, but the two were not alike at all.
Alison came from bluegrass and Robert, of course, had rock roots, but the album was magic.
Robert and Alison wrapped up their tour in the fall of 2024. At that point, he had already established Saving Grace and was able to focus on what they had started in 2019. The self-titled album is coming out on September 26.
