In the '80's, there were two kinds of music fans; disco fans and rock fans.  Out of the rock fans, there were die hard Rush fans.  In some cases, Rush was the ONLY band they listened to.

Well, rejoice Rush fans, the band is touring again, minus Neil Peart of course, and they are coming to Boston in 2026.

Rush had/has almost a cult following.  It was a trio, first of all.  Which is hard to believe given the sound that came out of those speakers.  The three members were:

Neil Peart sadly passed away from cancer on January 20, 2020.

Geddy Lee, in an interview by AXS TV, said that Neil was very shy and tended to stay away from his fans.  Lifeson, on the other hand, was very gregarious and would be open to talk to anyone.  Geddy Lee was caught between the two of them.

Geddy explains how he deals with his fans now.

How Did Rush Replace a Drummer Who Was Irreplaceable?  You Hire Anika Nilles.

The Band announced a new drummer.  And SHE is a SHE!  I could not be happier. Here is Anika Nilles.

Rush means something different for everyone.  For me, the Band evokes nostalgia.  I have two very important times in my life where the band was center stage.  One was driving in a car with my best friend and her boyfriend.  He heard The Spirit of Radio come on and was happier than I ever saw him.  The air drums he played were EPIC.  From that moment on, I was a Rush fan.

The other memory was when I was able to procure two 2nd row tickets for a friend and I for the last time they played in Boston.  His number one band was Rush.  To give him that experience, to see how happy it made him, was another beautiful memory.

Get your tickets thru Ticketmaster and you better hurry, they will probably sell out very soon.
