Should Bomb Threat Perpetrators Be Charged With Terrorism?
With the recent increases in school bomb threats, I'm just posing the question.
There were 2 bomb threats found at the Dover Middle School on Tuesday. There was one on Monday at Dover High School in which there is a 15 year old suspect in custody.
Oyster River Schools have recently been the victims of such threats. It seems to be at the point where more schools have had to deal with such threats than haven't.
The suspect arrested in Dover is being charged with criminal threatening. While that sentence is no slap on the wrist, I believe that being responsible for a bomb hits my definition of terrorism.
If I'm in a building that is being evacuated because of the threat of a bomb, I can tell you I would most likely feel a bit of terror.
