This Saturday and Sunday, the New Hampshire Feline Fanciers is hosting a cat show and competition at the Dover Middle School.

It's the 17th year of this event in which more than 100 pedigreed as well as household kittens and cats will compete for honors.

For the 17th year, the New Hampshire Feline Fanciers (NHFF) is hosting a Cat Fanciers Association cat show and competition in Dover.

The competition takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is much like a dog show. In an article at Fosters.com;

Carol Babel of the NHFF says the event is run much like a dog show, with written standards judged for each different breed at the show. Additionally, there is a household pet category for non-pedigreed cats. Babel says that “cheat sheets” will be given to spectators who might want to learn more about a breed or a specific cat they are interested in.

There is a maximum of 250 cats allowed at the show.
