This time of year, when movie buffs everywhere are predicting their Oscar winners and losers, we tend to do things a little bit differently at the Shark. A-Train likes to hate on awards shows, Fish can't watch the program because it's on too late so he dabbles in fun facts, and I give out six predictions that will blow your mind.

Best Picture: '12 Years a Slave'

Academy is too self-important to pick a space adventure over a historical slavery movie.

Best Actor - Mathew McConaughey, 'Dallas Buyers Club'

Classic Hollywood redemption story. Hollywood loves redemption stories. Plus, McConaughey is as hot as it gets right now. Proof: "Time is a flat circle."

Best Actress - Kate Blanchett, 'Blue Jasmine'

This has been locked up since last summer, no contest.

Best Director - Alfonso Cuaron, 'Gravity'

"12 Years a Slave" gets the Picture, but Cuaron's job was the most impressive.

Supporting Actor - Jared Leto, 'Dallas Buyers Club'

It pains me to type that, but he's won all the awards so far so lock it up.

Supporting Actress - June Squibb, 'Nebraska'

This is my upset pick of the century. Smart money is on Lupita Nyong'o ('12 Years a Slave') and Jennifer Lawrence ('American Hustle') in a photo finish, but there is always an upset in a supporting category. Plus Squibb crushed it...I think...it's the only movie in this list I didn't see.
