No matter how you feel about winter in New England, I think we can all agree there's nothing more beautiful than a white Christmas. Well we didn't have snow for Santa's arrival...but it is New England after all. That means the snow is never too far off. All you have to do is wait a few days.

If WMUR-TV is correct, it looks like we'll start the New Years Weekend with at least a little snow and wintry mix.

Meteorologist Kevin Skarupa is forecasting light snow followed by sleet and rain before sunrise on  Friday morning. He says that should all chance over to rain by mid-morning.

It appears as if the northern part of New Hampshire will see up to 3 inches of snow. Further south, perhaps up to an inch of accumulation. In other words, just enough to make driving to work tomorrow morning a but of a mess.

Meanwhile in Maine, WMTW Channel 8 in Portland is calling for an inch or two along the coast tomorrow morning. The foothills and mountains should expect a little more, along with some ice.
