One of the ‘Kens’ From the ‘Barbie’ Movie Donates to His Favorite Massachusetts Restaurant

So do you know who I'm talking about?  It's our one and only West Newbury, Massachusetts, native John Cena, who is all about philanthropy.   But first, can we talk about his role in the blockbuster hit Barbie the Movie?  I've attached the trailer at the end, but here's the thing. John wasn't even in the trailer, so finding out he's in the movie took the world and John-lovers by storm.

Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit, but it was an exciting surprise to know he's in this massive movie as singer and actor Dua Lipa's love interest, according to ComicBook.com.  John even took to his Instagram to make the announcement, joining a stellar cast that includes Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken.  Will Ferrell is also in the movie, along with American Ferrara, Rhea Pearlman, Ann Hathaway, and Helen Mirren.  Dua Lipa plays mermaid Barbie.

I just love this for one of the most famous wrestlers, who become an actor I love to watch on the big screen.

So, about those sneakers this Barbie star signed.  They went to Kowloon Restaurant, a popular Asian restaurant in Saugus known for its Mai Tais, comedy shows, and fun Polynesian decor.  Kowloon proudly posted a photo of John with the signed sneakers and personal letter on its Instagram.

According to Boston.com, John Cena wore the shoes at a Wrestlemania event, and stopped by the restaurant to personally thank them with the signed pair.  Kowloon itself actually designed the special Air Force Ones to raise money for North Shore area nonprofits, according to Boston.com, so these will most definitely help.
