I hope you’ve been marking your calendars and buying your tickets because Portland, Maine, is welcoming a fabulous array of iconic comedians and musical performances this coming year.

I already filled you in on Kevin Hart coming to Portland in April and now I’m here to get you ready for another iconic comedy act coming to our city in the near future.

Steve Martin

My co-workers will joke that this statement tells you how young I am but Steve Martin is most famous to me for his work in Cheaper by the Dozen, which was a personal favorite of mine growing up.

The film actor and comedian worked on Saturday Night Live for quite some time and has had an unbelievably successful career in comedy, motion pictures, television, and even broadway.

Did you know he also played the banjo?

This Tiny Desk concert shows him playing with Steep Canyon Rangers, who will also be traveling with the Martins for their performance in Portland, Maine.

Steve Martin and Martin Short in Portland, Maine

Steve Martin and Martin Short are hitting the road together in the fall for a series of performances filled with comedy and music and will be gracing us with their presence at Merrill Auditorium in November.

The musicians featured above will also be taking the stage with them for a highly entertaining show.

Martin Short also has a history with Saturday Night Live and a successful career in comedy, movies, and TV.

These guys are so funny and are especially comical together as a duo.

You can see them in all their glory for yourself at Merrill Auditorium here in Portland on November 10 and tickets go on sale this very Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m.!

So grab a Guinness, throw on a green shirt, and buy your Steve Martin and Martin Short tickets while you hit up the Irish pubs this Friday!
