Stratham Man Reminds Us To Check In With Those We Care About
I saw a Facebook video yesterday from Bill DaGiau that just touched my heart.
I remember years ago, (before texting, but we still had regular phones) a guy I used to work with committed suicide on his birthday. He posted on Facebook before he pulled the trigger that literally no one acknowledged his birthday, so he was going to check out. He got no phone call, no well wishes on Facebook, nothing. To this day, I feel really guilty about this. We weren't best friends, but I feel like I should have known that he was in such pain. I could have called. Now, whenever I am presented with calling someone who might need to hear from me, I don't hesitate. Hopefully, they'll be happy to hear from me and not say, "OH GOD! It's HER!" haha!
Bill and Diane DaGiau are the founders of Annie's Angels Memorial Fund. Their mission is to help people who are struggling financially, but from this video, it sounds like they do so much more. From their website, here's the Mission of Annie's Angels:
Dedicated To A Mission.....…to help local families struggling financially through a life threatening disease, illness or disability connecting neighbor to neighbor, friend to friend and business to business in a caring fundraising network.
Annie's Angels needs your help during this time. If you are an individual or a business that needs to make a year end donation to a charity, consider Annie's Angels. They do so much good for so many!
