You might expect any town throughout the New England region to have a relatively decent population. In fact, in New England, there are 236.9 people per square mile on average, which is much higher than the national average of 79.56 people per square mile. However, despite being the most populated of all the New England states, Massachusetts has a town with a population that is even less than the national average of people per square mile.

When anyone thinks of Massachusetts, there's a good chance they may be quick to think of places to travel to like Boston, Cape Cod, Salem, the Berkshires, Cambridge, or Nantucket/Martha's Vineyard. People here know there are plenty of other amazing spots that I'm leaving out. However, none of those were picked as the 25 most underrated destinations in the U.S. As it turns out, the Bay State has two of them. What do you think they are?
