Self driving cars are here. It's only a matter of time before they're available to the public. Probably not far off. This guy got to test Tesla's Autopilot System on the streets of New York City.

This is exactly how I pictured someone test driving a car on autopilot. You wanna grab the wheel or hit the brakes, but you also want to let the system do what it is supposed to do.

You're both nervous and impressed by the vehicles abilities, but you don't quite trust it.

I can tell you now that I am personally not ready for self driving cars, or vehicles with autopilot.

Reason number one being that I don't trust other drivers on the road, so I don't think I'll be able to trust other vehicles driving themselves. I work with computers all day long, so I am well aware that they don't always do what they are expected to. That terrifies me.

Reason number two is that I can barely be a passenger in a car when someone else is at the wheel. I'm constantly closing my eyes in fear and pumping the imaginary breaks on the passenger side.

Testing an autopilot system on city streets would most likely give me a heart attack, but you should read this guys review.
