This Butterfly Toilet Beat Portsmouth’s Music Hall for Best Public Restroom
I call B.S. because the The Music Hall's amazing bathrooms should have won over this hippie crapper in Colorado.
Everyone knows that The Music Hall in Portsmouth has the best bathroom around, but unfortunately it didn't get top honors on a national level.
Cintas hosts "America's Best Bathroom Contest" each year and puts the nominees up to a public vote. The Portsmouth Music Hall was in the running this time around, but was beat by a crazy-looking bathroom in the Town of Midturn, CO. The Portsmouth staple finished in second place,
The bathrooms from the winner resemble a passageway into a Rocky Mountain mine, and for some reason there are steel butterflies on the ceiling. As the 2015 winner, the Town of Minturn also receives a $2,500 credit to spend on Cintas services like restroom cleaning and supplies, Signature Series restroom dispensers, cleaning chemicals or wet mops for their restroom floors.
“We’re excited to announce the Town of Minturn public restrooms as the 2015 Cintas’ America’s Best Restroom,” said Cintas’ Assistant Marketing Manager Jillian Bauer. “The town rallied together and showed the value of a restroom that’s creative and memorable for guests.”
Jillian lays out the problem with this win right in the middle of her quote. Colorado's mine-themed crapper had a whole town campaigning for it to win. Portsmouth's Music Hall is just a small business in New Hampshire that had no chance, even though it is clearly a better bathroom.
I mean, this bathroom is great and all...
but just look at this amazing spectacle for bowel movements in Portsmouth:
Clearly the vote was stacked in favor of that wildlife pooper because our bathroom is a work of goddamn art. Just look at all of the crazy designs shoved into that bathroom.
Here are some of the other cool bathrooms that were nominated, but not as good as Portsmouth's:
OB Warehouse - Ocean Beach, CA
The Salty Pig - Boston, MA
Cibo Wine Bar - Miami, FL
Charleston Distilling - Charleston, SC
