This New England Town Votes For Resolution to Ban Purchase of Nike Products
The North Smithfield town council in Rhode Island voted last night for a resolution for all Town Departments to refrain from buying Nike products.
Town Council President John Beauregard is a former State Trooper who is upset with Nike's decision to use former San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick in their ads.
The ACLU of Rhode Island is not happy about the resolution.
Strong opinions on both sides of this issue, but it seems to be working for Nike. Since they started using Kaepernick as a Spokesperson, their stock has hit an all time high.
